Taba Naba

This 'sitting down dance' is from the Murray (Mer Island) which is the most easterly inhabited island of the Torres Strait Islands.

This traditional dance:

  • is very catchy!
  • is in extended do pentatony
  • is great for a quick dance where students don't even need to move to before they begin!
  • is syncopated.
