Apple Tree

  • For "Apple Tree", I like to have the children sit in a circle and pass a plastic apple around on the beat. This reinforces the beat.
  • In addition, the child holding the apple on the word "out" is then "out of the game" and can sit in the middle of the circle. If you have one or two percussion instruments being swapped amongst the children in the middle it will help keep them occupied while they sing!
