Waltzing Matilda (Buderim Version) A Major

This version of 'Waltzing Matilda' has come to be known as the 'Buderim' version. It isn't as well known as the 'Cowan' version. With it's lovely, flowing melody it is still a popular Australian Folk Song.

This version is great for:

• Preparing and practising the melodic element 'ti'.
• Teaching the rhythmic element 'too' (minim/half note) to older beginners.
• Comparing and contrasting with the 'Cowan' version of 'Waltzing Matilda'.
• Practise singing larger intervals in tune! E.g. ascending octave and descending minor 6ths.
