The Echo Song

  • Use this fun improvisation song to concentrate on any melodic or rhythmic element you are focussing on with your classes!
  • After singing '1 2 3 4 5' the teacher or a selected student can replace the '5 4 3 2 1' with their own improvised melody and/or rhythm and the class can be the echo. You can instruct students which notes/ rhythms they are to use.
  • This song can be used to teach the melodic element 'fa'.
  • The rhythmic element 'tim-ka' can be prepared and practised with this song.
