Mwana wa Nnyabo

This is a great song for teaching syncopation in compound metre.

This is a children's song from Uganda in Africa. The unusual way of writing lyrics in bar 10 and 14: baa,a-ka-li-ga with an 'a' straight after the comma is the only way I have seen this song written, though I have looked at several copies of the song. If you have seen the lyrics presented in any other way, I would be interested to hear about any differences.
