The Tinker and Cobbler

While this American College Song was originally a 'drinking song' that certainly isn't obvious! Rather, it can be an opportunity to talk about occupations from history that are not common or are even obsolete - at least in many places!

This fun song is great for:

• Singing an 'interactive' song - where the class can be split into 4 groups to sing their own syllable in solo. (This makes it lots of fun - who can sing the loudest / clearest / sweetest/ most in time!)
• Teaching ti-tika
• Teaching anacrusis
• Working with intervals in Major tonality including, Major and minor thirds, Perfect 5ths, Major 6ths and Perfect 4ths in different contexts (d'-s; r'-l; and r-s). Great for hearing, recognising, analysing and tuning intervals (intonation).
