The Jolly Snowman

This song is the story of a cold snowman who decided he wanted to come inside to get warm.

It's great for:

  • Enjoying a story through song.
  • Singing a descending Major scale.
  • Teaching the rhythmic element 'too' (minim / half note).
  • Teaching the melodic element 'fi' (sharpened fa).

The 'fi' can make this a tricky song for younger children to sing in tune, as can the descending scale and triad, but it is a great listening song for them and wonderful intonation practise for older primary/ lower secondary students.
