O Little Town of Bethlehem - 4 parts - C Major

This beautiful Christmas carol was written in 1868.

This version (in C Major), is an easy key for accompanists, however, it is low for singers. The alto and tenor parts have been slightly modified from the similar arrangement in Eb Major and D Major because of the low key.

A fantastic opportunity to teach:

  • the melodic element "ri" (sharpened "re")
  • the rhythmic element "tum-ti"
  • 4 part harmony
  • diminished chords
