Mal Mal

This Traditional New Guinean song is wonderful for:

  • Singing with boys! With its limited range of 3 notes, even boys whose voices are breaking can often be cajoled into singing this one!
  • Teaching 'do', 're' and 'mi' to older beginngers.
  • Teaching melisma (slur).
  • Teaching the rhythmic element 'too' to older beginners.
  • Practising beat in the context of a game.
  • Fun!!
