Hallelu

This joyous call and response song is a little unusual in that for 'SECTION A' the top line sings the call, and for 'SECTION B' they swap and the lower line sings the call.

This song is SO MUCH FUN!

You can split your class in half, one half stands as they sing the 'Hallelujah' sections, then they sit each time the other half of the class stand and sing the 'Praise Ye the Lord' sections.

Young children love this song.

If you do it in letter names, solfa or rhythm names it's a great activity for secondary students. Include the standing and sitting and it's a terrific way to make students more alert and focused!

For schools that are unable to use Christian songs, a copy is included without lyrics. You can sing it (still in the sections) using solfa, letter names, rhythm names or make up your own lyrics!

The third line of the song can be used to discover melodic sequences.
