Circle To The Left (What is the Name of this Song)

This worksheet is used in connection with the song 'Circle to the Left', and provides many opportunities for practising the rhythmic element 'tika-tika'.

In this worksheet, students will:

1. Clap the rhythm. You might like to instruct students to also say the rhythm in time names (e.g. line one - tika-tika, ta, ti-ti, ti-ti)
2. Figure out the name of the song they just clapped.
3. Engage in rhythmic practise by completing any of the 8 suggested practical activities. Students can complete all 8, or the students or teacher can select which ones to do. These can be done individually, with a partner or as a class.
