OPTION 1 The first page has a different dog on every second beat to demonstrate 2/4 metre. (The dog that is facing forward is the stronger beat each time.)

OPTION 2 The second page has a different dog on every second line. This is to demonstrate the question and answer form of this song.

• Use this beat sheet "Doggie Doggie" by having students point to each picture on the beat as the class sings the song.
• I use this colour version (laminated) at the front of the class for demonstration purposes and I give each student their own black and white copy to use individually and to colour in.
