Deck the Halls - D Major

"Deck the Halls" is a joyous, traditional Christmas Carol.
With the rhythm "tum ti" (dotted crotchet, quaver) occurring regularly, this is a fantastic song for preparing, making conscious and practising this rhythm.
There is a very clear example of the melodic element "fi" (sharp "fa") making this a useful song to teach this element.
With a melody mainly based on steps, this song works well with modal transformation.
