Add Solfa To These Songs (Staff Reading - so-mi)

  • In this worksheet, students are to write solfa initials - an 's' (for 'so') or an 'm' (for 'mi') above the notes of different known and unknown songs.
  • Students can then sing the melodies (individually or as a class) and name the songs.
  • A variety of different starting notes are used to help students get used to reading different lines and spaces on the staff.
  • Answers are provided, so this worksheet can even be left for supply teachers!
